Mission statement: The NFL Alumni is a charitable organization composed primarily of former professional football players guided by in their volunteer efforts by the motto "Caring for Kids." The NFL Alumni's secondary objective is to help its own by offering support to former pros experiencing financial or medical hardship.

 

The NFL Alumni is organized into various chapters located around the country. It's official Web site is found at http://www.nflalumni.org/. It is a non-profit service organization of former football players and friends who work voluntarily on behalf of youth and charity.

 

In its voluntary undertakings, the NFL Alumni is guided philosophically by the fundamental ideals expressed in its motto: Caring for Kids.

 

The Madison Chapter is one of three in Wisconsin. Others are located in Green Bay and Milwaukee. Formed in 1986, the Madison Chapter currently is comprised of about 35 members, including many former players. It's current president is Bob Landsee, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles. Through its philanthropic work, the chapter has been able to donate more than one million dollars to various charitable and youth organizations in Wisconsin.
